Panamik Hot Springs

Panamik, at the far end of Nubra Valley, is known for its natural hot springs, believed locally to have therapeutic properties for skin and joint ailments, offering a genuinely different kind of stop after days of high-altitude sightseeing across the wider Nubra circuit. The village itself, one of the last significant settlements before the restricted border area further north, retains a quiet, agricultural character shaped by its position at the valley's remote upper end.

As the furthest common stop on the standard Nubra Valley circuit, Panamik offers a natural endpoint for exploration, and the hot springs — simple, unpolished pools rather than a developed spa facility — provide a relaxing, low-key close to a journey through some of Ladakh's most dramatic high-desert terrain.

The hot springs at Panamik have been used by local Nubra Valley communities for generations, valued for their perceived medicinal properties long before the area became part of the wider Ladakh tourism circuit.
