Duduma Waterfalls

Duduma Waterfalls, in Koraput district, is one of Odisha's most powerful cascades, formed where the Machkund river drops dramatically through a gorge, its force historically harnessed for hydroelectric power generation at a nearby facility. The falls' scale and the surrounding forested gorge terrain make it one of the more visually dramatic natural attractions in Odisha's southern tribal hill districts.

Duduma's relative remoteness within Koraput district, somewhat off Odisha's main coastal tourist circuit, has kept visitor numbers modest, appealing specifically to travellers already exploring the wider Koraput region's tribal culture and hill scenery. A viewpoint near the falls offers a good vantage for taking in both the cascade and the surrounding gorge without requiring a difficult descent.
