The Garden of Five Senses is a landscaped park in South Delhi designed around the concept of stimulating all five senses through varied terrain, sculpture, fragrant plantings and water features. Sculptures by Indian and international artists are scattered throughout the grounds, giving the park more of an outdoor art gallery character than a conventional ornamental garden.
Terraced walkways, a Mughal-style garden section and a designated area for solar energy demonstration add variety to the park's layout, and its relative distance from Delhi's more central tourist sites keeps it noticeably quieter, appealing to visitors looking for a calmer green space away from the busier heritage circuit.
Developed by the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation and opened in 2003, the garden was conceived as a modern addition to Delhi's public green spaces, distinct in concept from the city's older Mughal-era gardens.
