Buddha Park (Ravangla)

Buddha Park in Ravangla is centred on a 130-foot seated statue of Buddha, one of the tallest in India, set within landscaped gardens offering panoramic views over the surrounding South Sikkim hills and, on clear days, toward Kanchenjunga. The park's scale and setting have made it one of Sikkim's most visited modern religious sites, drawing both pilgrims and visitors primarily interested in the site's photogenic scenery.

Murals and a museum within the statue's base narrate episodes from the Buddha's life, giving the park an educational dimension alongside its role as a striking visual and spiritual landmark, and its relatively central South Sikkim location makes it an easy stop for visitors exploring the wider Ravangla-Namchi circuit.

Completed in 2013, the statue was built to commemorate the birth anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava, and its scale and prominent hilltop position have made it one of the defining modern religious landmarks of South Sikkim.
