Nehru Planetarium

Nehru Planetarium, within the Teen Murti Bhavan complex, offers regular sky shows and astronomy programmes for visitors of all ages, using a modern digital projection system to explore the night sky, space exploration and astronomical phenomena. It's a popular destination for school groups and families, particularly appealing for children curious about space.

The planetarium sits on the grounds of Teen Murti Bhavan, the former residence of India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, meaning a visit can easily combine astronomy with a look at the adjacent museum dedicated to Nehru's life and the broader story of India's independence movement.

Established in memory of Jawaharlal Nehru, whose personal interest in science and modern education partly inspired the planetarium's creation, it has been periodically upgraded over the decades to keep its projection technology current.
