Satmaliya Deer Park, near Silvassa, is a forested reserve home to a range of deer species alongside other native wildlife, offering a gentler wildlife-viewing experience than a full safari park. Walking trails through the park allow visitors to explore at their own pace, with reasonable chances of spotting spotted deer and other resident species along the way.
A small watchtower within the park gives an elevated vantage point over parts of the reserve, useful for spotting animals that might otherwise stay hidden in the denser undergrowth. The park's manageable scale and proximity to Silvassa make it an easy add-on to a visit to the nearby Lion Safari Park, together forming the core of the town's wildlife-focused attractions.
Established as part of the wider effort to develop nature-based tourism around Silvassa, complementing the more prominent lion safari park with a gentler, deer-focused reserve aimed particularly at families with younger children.
