Zarwani Waterfall, near the Statue of Unity in the Narmada district, is a scenic monsoon-season waterfall set within forested hills, drawing visitors as a natural add-on to a trip to Gujarat's famous statue nearby. A small dam and reservoir near the falls add further recreational options for visitors, including boating.
While the falls run only seasonally, drying up considerably outside the monsoon and immediate post-monsoon months, their proximity to one of Gujarat's most-visited modern landmarks means they've become an increasingly popular combined-day-trip stop for visitors already in the area. The surrounding forest, part of the wider Satpura hill range, also offers a genuinely green, cooler contrast to the more open landscape around the statue itself.
The falls have long been known to local tribal communities in the surrounding Narmada district hills, gaining wider visibility more recently through their proximity to the Statue of Unity and the broader tourism development that followed the statue's 2018 unveiling, which brought considerably more visitor infrastructure to this previously quiet corner of Gujarat.
