Wilson Hills

Wilson Hills is a small, relatively undeveloped hill station in southern Gujarat, offering forested slopes, waterfalls and cooler temperatures than the surrounding plains, popular mainly with visitors from nearby Surat and Valsad seeking a quick, low-key escape. Its modest scale and lack of major development have kept it considerably quieter than Gujarat's more established hill destination at Saputara.

Simple guesthouses and forest rest houses provide basic accommodation for those wanting to stay overnight, and the surrounding hills offer straightforward walking opportunities for visitors seeking a brief nature break rather than an extended trekking holiday. A handful of small waterfalls come alive during and just after monsoon, adding a further reason to visit outside the drier winter months.

Developed as a modest hill retreat during the colonial period, Wilson Hills has remained a relatively low-key destination compared to more actively promoted hill stations elsewhere in western India, retaining a quieter, more local character even as tourism has grown across the wider region.
