Kanger Dhara Waterfall

Kanger Dhara is a smaller, less-visited waterfall within Kanger Valley National Park, formed by the Kanger river as it drops through the forest — a quieter alternative to the more famous Tirathgarh falls nearby. Its relative obscurity means visitors often have the site largely to themselves, a rarity for a waterfall this accessible within a national park.

The surrounding forest and rock pools make it a pleasant, low-key stop for those already exploring Kanger Valley's caves and other attractions, best combined into a single day's circuit through the park rather than visited as a standalone destination. The walk to the falls passes through dense forest typical of the park, offering a chance to spot birdlife even before reaching the water itself.

Part of the same Kanger Valley ecosystem that has drawn protection and attention since the park's establishment in 1982, Kanger Dhara remains one of the less-documented features within the reserve, known mainly to those exploring the park in detail rather than casual day-trippers.
