Chakratirth Beach

Chakratirth is a quieter, more rugged stretch of Diu's coastline, marked by rocky outcrops and tidal pools rather than the smooth sand found at Nagoa, giving it a wilder, less developed character. A small temple sits near the shore, adding a devotional element to what is otherwise primarily valued for its scenic, relatively undisturbed coastal setting.

The beach's rockier terrain makes it less suited to swimming than Diu's sandier beaches, but rewards visitors more interested in a scenic coastal walk, tide-pool exploration or simply a quieter, less crowded stretch of shoreline than the island's main tourist beaches. Sunset views from the rocks here are considered among the best on the island, with fewer crowds than the more popular viewing spots elsewhere.

Long known to Diu's local fishing community, Chakratirth has more recently drawn wider visitor interest as an alternative to the busier main beaches, valued specifically for its more natural, undeveloped coastline and its association with a small local shrine.

Close to Diu town, easily reached by scooter or a longer coastal walk.
