Jaswant Garh War Memorial is a historic military memorial located near Nuranang in the Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh. Built in honour of Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat of the Indian Army, the memorial commemorates his extraordinary bravery during the 1962 Indo-China War. The memorial is associated with the Battle of Nuranang during the 1962 Indo-China War, where Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat of the 4 Garhwal Rifles displayed exceptional courage while defending Indian positions against advancing Chinese forces. According to military accounts and local traditions, he continued fighting alone for several days after his fellow soldiers had withdrawn, earning recognition for his bravery. He was posthumously awarded the Maha Vir Chakra, India's second-highest wartime gallantry award.
